In a report by Washington Post, the author detailed that during Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, Ivanka and Jared tried to barge in on Donald and Melania’s meeting with the Queen – a bold move that would have a breach of protocol.

“I finally figured out what was going on,” Grisham says in the memoir. “Jared and Ivanka thought they were the royal family of the United States.”

Grisham added that embarrassment was prevented when the couple could not fit in the helicopter.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump described his relationship with the monarch as “incredible”.

“I think I can say I really got to know her because I sat with her many times and we had automatic chemistry, you will understand that feeling,” Trump told Fox News. “There are those that say they have never seen the Queen have a better time, a more animated time.”

The book, which is soon to be released, was one of the many that were written by former staffers who expressed their disappointment with the Trump family. The Independent reported that the memoir is particularly harsh on Melania.

Moreover, the author described Jared Kushner as the “slim reaper”. Grisham says that he has a habit of taking over other staffers’ jobs even when he lacked the knowledge and experience to do them, resulting in those originally assigned staffers clearing up the mess.

Grisham became White House’s press secretary at a time when the Trump administration’s relationship with the media was at a new low. During her tenure, she shut down daily press briefings, and did not preside over a single one, and gave TV interviews instead.
