The truth says, too much sugar is always harmful to the body but it looks like we are more concerned about the taste rather than the healthy food content.
Recently AG Barr changed the recipe of their drink Irn Bru as earlier the sugar content of the drink was too high. Now in the corrected recipe, the content of sugar has been kept low and it looks like people are not really happy about it.
Although the company is just working in favor of its customers, people are still after getting the original drink back.
Because of the same, people have decided to storm into the factory of Irn Bru and find out the original recipe of the drink.
A person named Andrew Dinan has created an event on Facebook that asks to storm into the Irn Bru factory to get its original recipe back.
The event is set to take place on the 16th of November at 12:00 p.m. and the surprise is that more than 8,900 people are interested in the event. And about 3,500 people have marked going to the event
Last year the UK government had increased the taxes on sugar and thus the AG Barr, decided to cut down sugar content from its popular drink.
The drink that earlier had 10g of sugar per 100ml of the drink now has less than 5g of sugar in 100ml.
This attracted a lot of disagreement from the consumer of the drink as they have started a petition called ‘Keep your hands off Irn Bru’ and the petition till now has more than 6,000 signatures already.
As the new improvised fizzy drink came out, the lover of the old one decided to keep the drinks in-store and several shop owners had marked high prices for the old cans with high sugar levels.
