When photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa posted a series of portrait shots featuring a five-year-old Nigerian girl, little did she know that it would take Instagram by storm.
A lot of users have commented on how stunningly beautiful the girl was and have even taken to calling the young model “the most beautiful girl in the world.”
The Nigerian girl in question is named Jare and her initial portrait both exudes the pure innocence of a girl her age but at the same time, the allure that only natural beauty can bring out.
Soulful dark eyes stare out with a depth that goes far beyond her years and perfectly formed lips add grace to her smooth, almost doll-like, chocolate colored skin that seems to glow with the reflected light.
Jare’s hairstyle for the photo shoot frames her head nicely like a halo. It is a perfect description as some admirers have even called her a “beautiful angel.”
Photographer Mofe said in the first photo’s caption: “The opportunity came and I had to take a bold step to express my ideas of how I want to take portraits of kids.”
While in the other images of the series, Mofe wrote: “I could have made her smile and make her laugh out loud but I put her in their natural moments for us to see through their eyes!”
Speaking to Yahoo, she expounded: “I want the photo to speak to her when she has reached her adulthood. I want to portray the interception between her childhood and adulthood so both stay timeless!”
“All I want is for everyone to see Jare’s powerful potential,” Mofe told The Sun.
It looks like Mofe achieved her objective. One Instagram user said, “GORGEOUS doll baby.” And another wrote, “Wow, little angel. Awesome.”

Jare is the youngest of three sisters and all of them enjoy posing for pictures. The online reaction to Jare’s portrait shot is similar to the attention French model Thylane Blondeau received when she also had a portrait taken when she was six years old.
Blondeau eventually went on to become the youngest model in French Vogue at 10 years old. Judging by the current reaction, perhaps Jare has a similar future ahead of her.
