We’ve all encountered situations when we’re in so much of a rush that we either cut corners or don’t complete a task to the best of our ability just so that we can get something done as quickly as possible.
It’s quite understandable and as long as we’re not so sloppy that a 3-year-old would notice it, the world would not necessarily end due to our shortcomings.
But while there are cutting corners, there’s also safety and common courtesy to consider. And any time we cross that line, we’re just asking to be slapped with an embarrassing lesson, at least, or potentially life-threatening one, at worst.
In the case of one woman, she literally crossed the line, the parking line, that is, but fortunately for her, all she got was an embarrassing lesson while other viewers got a few laughs at her expense.
It happened at a supermarket parking lot where the lady parked her swanky Mercedes sports car but rather than glide in to the middle of the two parking lines (as most drivers would do), the driver’s side of her car was way over one line and occupied at least 10 percent of the adjacent parking slot’s space.
It’s unclear if the woman was just a really bad driver or was just in too much of a rush to bother adjusting her car but the end result was still the same: what she did is a big inconvenience for anyone who wanted to use the parking slot beside her, particularly for anyone who had a big vehicle like a pick-up truck or a van.
So one enterprising driver decided to teach her a valuable lesson about parking courtesy. He took his small car and parked it correctly at the slot beside the woman’s car. But because of the way he parked, he ended up blocking the driver’s side door of the Mercedes.
He then proceeded to a parked car behind and across from the woman’s Mercedes and waited until the woman returned, upon which he started filming.
The woman walked in with her cart of groceries and started piling them into her car’s trunk. She was either oblivious or was hopeful that the car blocking hers would move out before she was done but she was out of luck there.
After all her groceries were loaded, she started looking around for the driver of the car beside her, unaware he was smirking at her from behind. Finally, a passing man suggested she just enter her car through the passenger’s side, which she managed to do.
The man filming the whole thing timed it so that as she finally jostled her way into the driver’s seat of her car and started the engine, he got out and walked to his car, started it, and simply drove off.
He then posted a reminder for other drivers to be courteous when they park. We all certainly got a good laugh out of that but it’s still an important lesson, nevertheless.
