A loving husband has gone viral after pictures of him supporting his wife, who is having a high-risk pregnancy amid the pandemic, by holding a vigil in front of her hospital window have made rounds on the internet.
Bob Conlin has been fully supportive of his 29-week-pregnant wife, Shona Moeller, despite the doctors giving their baby just a 1% chance of survival due to complications with the pregnancy.
While the husband would do anything to stay by his wife’s side during these hard times, the coronavirus pandemic prevents him from getting too close to Shona at the moment.
Nevertheless, Bob refused to give up on visitation and decided to support his wife by holding a vigil outside her hospital window.
And so, Bob came up with the idea to bring dates to the hospital, whereas he sets up a chair and a table just outside his wife’s window.
As the ‘proud papa’ explained in an interview with Bored Panda, “Shona’s water broke at 5 months” and “she had what’s called a preterm premature rupture of membranes.”
With their baby being given just a 1% chance of survival, Bob wants to make sure to be there for his wife despite not being allowed to enter the hospital.
“The outpouring of love and support from our family, community, and clients has helped a lot. Sharing our story, our love and hope have given us that love and hope right back. We have a strong spiritual practice as well that keeps us grounded and connected,” Bob told Bored Panda.
If you would like to make a donation to help the couple with their medical expenses you can do so at GoFundMe.
