The sign read: ‘I can’t be with you but I’m here. I love you. Thank you to all staff.’

Albert told Good Morning America that he promised his wife to be there for her and would accompany her to every appointment but he couldn’t do it.

He said he was upset but totally understands that the hospital is just trying to protect their patients and staff.

He said: “When you just reflect on everything and think about all the nurses and doctors and other patients, it makes perfect sense. You really can’t argue it. You just have to support it any way you can.”
