Security cameras caught the chilling moment a furious husband shot his wife and her companion at a restaurant in California.
The footage shows 38-year-old Jing Yixin pulling out his gun from a paper bag before shooting 37-year-old Zhaiming Li while he was sitting inside the Music BBQ Bar in Monterey Park.
The gunman’s shocked wife, 36-year-old Ling Ling Wang, stood up and tried to push him away.
But Yixin also shot his wife, the mother of his two daughters aged 9 and 12, and she fell to the floor.
The shooter then reloaded his gun and fired more shots at Li and Wang before walking out of the restaurant.
Court documents reveal that the case involves a ‘suspected child abuse report’ but it is not clear what the report contains.
A witness told KTLA: “I heard about six shots and then there was gap. Then I heard another six to eight shots and then that’s when the chefs started walking out, started running.”
Police have not provided an official motive for the shootings, which occurred on April 5.
The shooter fled towards the US-Mexico border where officers apprehended him with the help of the FBI and US Customs and Border Protection.
Yixin was taken to the Monterey Park Police Department and is now being held at the Los Angeles Inmate Reception Center with a bail set at $2 million.
