Sometimes you raise a dog when he was just a few months old and see him grow older and bigger. You seem him protecting you and playing with you and it feels like they are not just animals, but part of your family. And when you say good-bye to them while going on a trip, you become really sad. But one woman, who was having her last breath, had a unique last-wish.
Her wish was to see her dog one last time in the hospital. And, this story shows not only the beautiful relationship between a husband and his wife but also the strong bond between pets and their owners.
This story was shared on Reddit by the Reddit user Mellifluous_Username who talked about his personal story as of how he managed to sneak his dog into the hospital to see his dying wife.
According to the Reddit user, his wife had gone through invasive surgery and was in a critical situation. Doctors had already informed him that the chances of her survival were very low, and somehow his wife also came to know about it.
She knew she had a few more hours before he leaves his husband forever. And when husband asked her about her last wish, she said that she wanted to hug their dog one last time.
“My wife was in the hospital after a very invasive surgery, which after a few days, looked like it did not produce ideal results. The prognosis was not good.
She was able to speak, but was not eating or drinking, and relied completely on her IV and hard pain pills. In one rare instance of cogent speech, she convinced me to sneak our dog into her private room, so she could see her “one more time.”

He started thinking about the plan to bring 50 pounds Bella into the hospital and finally, something stuck to his mind. He decided to put the dog in a suitcase and zipped her close. He explained to Bella to not bark and that he would open the suitcase in a few minutes.
Luckily when hospital security saw him taking a big bag with him, his reply was that those were some stationaries for her wife and his plan worked.
A few minuted later, Bella was with his wife and when Bella saw her, she started licking her face and kept moving her tail with happiness.
The same was the case with her wife except that she was also crying. Reddit user told, “Bella immediately started licking her, and quietly moaned, as if knowing that barking would definitely blow our cover.
My wife hugged her for almost an hour, smiling the whole time. We were busted by one nurse who was so touched that she promised not to tell. When my wife finally went back to sleep, I loaded Bella back in the suitcase, and she somewhat sheepishly obliged.”
A hospital nurse suddenly entered the room and when she saw a dog inside the room, at first she was quite shocked. But the husband explained her everything and when she saw the beautiful relationship between her dying wife and Bella, she promised that she will not tell anyone about it.
Unfortunately, his wife died after a few days ago and Bella still didn’t know about it. And still, every time he takes out the suitcase, Bella starts jumping in excitement thinking that she would be going to see her owner in the hospital.
