Hurricane Dorian Washed Up More Than A Dozen Bricks Of Drugs On Florida Beach

A total of sixteen cocaine bricks have been washed up on a beach in Florida after the devastating Hurricane Dorian swept through the Caribbean and American lands.

People were estimating the scope of the damage done by the now Category 2 storm when a local policeman stumbled upon a rather unusual find while walking down the Paradise Beach.

The thing he discovered was a brick with ‘D-I-A-M-A-N-T’ inscribed on one of its sides. The cop reasonably assumed it was meant to be ‘diamante,’ a Spanish word for diamond.

According to a statement given to the Daily Mail by Melbourne Police Department, the brick was ‘wrapped in a way that was consistent with narcotics.’

To make a certain claim about it, the police took the brick to a lab where forensic experts established that it was the infamous white powder AKA cocaine.

A brick of cocaine, weighing at 1kg, is enough of a fortune.

Later that day, the police found a bag containing 15 more bricks of the same design and weight on the beach 20 miles north of the point where the first brick was found.

As of now, the police are reluctant to speak much about the topic because it is an on-going investigation and any leaked information can set them back on the way to reaching the ‘rightful owner’ of the merchandise.

The 16 cocaine bricks have a combined street value of nearly $400,000.

To avoid people from being caught in the hurricane, a curfew was imposed at many locations.

A Facebook post from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office read: “Tropical storm force wind gusts between 40 and 45 miles per hour have been reported in northern and southern Beaufort County. Bridges and causeways are no longer safe to drive onto and over.”
