We all know that working out is good for your body.
Still, it’s often difficult to convince yourself to get out of bed and exercise.
Well, Anna’s story of how she fixed her hunched back will definitely inspire you!
Anna Pesce, an 85-year old living in New York, suffered from chronic pain due to a combination of a herniated disc, scoliosis and osteoporosis. She could not move freely without the help of her wheelchair for more than twenty years.
Despite her condition, however, Anna didn’t give up. She went to various doctors, therapies, and anything that could offer some relief to her pain.
“I tried everything: acupuncture, a physical therapist, and seeing a chiropractor,” said Anna.
Sadly, none of these worked.
Then, she began working with Rachel Jesien, a 28-year-old certified yoga instructor.
According to her website, Rachel also started Yoga, hoping that it would reduce the amount of pain that she’s been having due to scoliosis.
When Rachel witnessed her pains going away, she decided to help out others by becoming an instructor.
So, once a week, Anna worked out with Rachel at home. And, at first, everything was admittedly difficult.
However, Anna felt herself growing stronger and more flexible. She even learned how to manage specific pains by doing various stretches.
Amazingly, it only took a month for Anna to be able to walk again.
Now, just look at how her body transformed. Everyone would be surprised to find out that Anna had a hunched back for decades. What a miracle!
That wasn’t the end, either.
Four months into Yoga, Anna could even do a modified headstand – and that’s something that not many of her friends can probably do!
As you can see, Anna’s life completely changed when she started to do Yoga.
Now, she won’t ever have to wait for someone to carry her downstairs.
“I feel wonderful now because I can drive by myself and do the things I wasn’t able to do before,” said Anna in an interview with the New York Post.
