“How Can Amazon Do That?”- Woman Startled After Amazon Collects THOUSANDS Of Voice Recordings Without Her Knowing


A woman has gone on to reveal how she was beyond startled when she learned how much data Amazon had collected of her, without her having a clue.

“I was beyond shocked to learn that they received so much data regarding me,” the woman explained. Posting a TikTok video to her account recently, the woman soon requested the platform to show all of the data that their gadgets managed to grab of her.

And what this woman received blew away her mind completely because it comprised thousands of audio files. “I certainly was not expecting to get so much,” the woman revealed.

The woman has a total of three different kinds of Amazon smart speakers, smart bulbs, and a few other gadgets at her home, including an Echo device. “When I requested them to have a peek, it just was too overwhelming and scary for me. There was a giant ZIP file that I needed to download and all those folders came with it,” she explained.

Clicking on the audio files, the woman adds how scary of an experience it was to learn about herself from another source. Moreover, she felt as if there was someone spying on her, all along.

“There were literally thousands of files little voice clips that they managed to grab a hold of and collected via their smart speakers,” she explained. “It’s definitely scary, especially when they include recordings of you talking about turning on a particular light!”

In total, the woman stated that there were nearly 3600 files, all short audio clips of herself. In addition, she received a ‘Contacts’ file and they entailed a detailed list of all her contacts in one place from her phone. But to her dismay, she never ever remembers syncing those with anything.
