According to the reports, Maughan has alleged she was subjected to discrimination by several staff members, including her manager Adeboye Ifederu.

As the 36-year-old insisted, she was called a “silly white bitch” and a “white girl” and ordered not to drink alcohol after her shifts because it is offensive to her Muslim colleagues.

In addition, the hospital worker claimed she was kicked in the leg while inside an elevator and told to “accept that in black African culture, men are dominating towards women.”

Following the alleged abuse at the workplace, Maughan reportedly had to start counseling and was prescribed medication for her depression. As the Central London Employment Tribunal also heard, her hair started falling out due to excessive stress and worries about her safety.

Backing up her claims, the 36-year-old revealed how she had kept a diary of her negative experiences at the hospital. In her entries, she mentioned the names of several colleagues who allegedly bullied her.

“On July 31 2018 Ayotunde Ojo told me that I ‘can’t drink alcohol after work on Friday, it’s against my religion and it would be offending Muslims,’” one of her entries read.

“On August 28 2018 Rebecca Eaton-Jones called me a ‘f*****g silly b***h,’” another one claimed.

Among other allegations of workplace abuse, Maughan recalled the time she was threatened by her manager, Adeboye, and told she would regret complaining about him.

“With an aggressive tone, Adeboye called me a ‘silly white girl’ and said he was ‘surprised that I had been a manager before being stupid and inexperienced,’” the 36-year-old said.

“Adeboye told me I ‘must ask for permission when leaving my desk or using the toilet.’ I responded that no other colleagues are required to do this.

“Adeboye slammed his fist on my desk in anger which, added with his threatening tone of voice when he said I ‘would be sorry for complaining about him,’ made me anxious for my safety.”

Maughan also claimed that her superiors stopped her from getting a job at Leeds St James Hospital by sending “a misleading and inaccurate reference which resulted in the job offer … being withdrawn.”

As the former data manager insisted, an internal survey revealed that many other colleagues at her department believed that bullying was a problem at the institution.

Following months of alleged workplace harassment, the 36-year-old has quit and filed a case against the hospital.

“GOSH have breached trust and confidence and acted in a manner that damages my health, reputation and career prospects,” she wrote in her resignation letter.

“GOSH have subjected me to abusive treatment and acted in breach of contract on numerous occasions.”

Following the allegations, the case was brought to the Central London Employment Tribunal. As of this writing, the hospital maintains innocence by denying all allegations made by Maughan.
