Hospital Staff Applaud Woman Leaving The ICU After Beating Coronavirus


Healthcare workers in a Georgia hospital applauded a patient leaving the intensive care unit after she managed to beat coronavirus.

The coronavirus patient who recovered from the infection received a heartwarming celebration during her discharge from the ICU.

Crisp National Hospital shared the touching clip on Facebook showing a woman they call ‘Mrs. Jones’ as she received a warm round of applause from hospital staff as she finally went out of the ICU.

The hospital posted on Facebook: “There is so much sadness and grim news surrounding COVID-19, here is something that will surely brighten your day.

“This morning the team from our COVID ICU celebrated with Mrs. Jones as she is the first patient who has recovered well enough to be transferred to Med-Surg after being intubated and treated in our intensive care unit.”

The post continued: “Staff who cared for her transported her from the ICU up to our 2nd floor. She was greeted by her mom and 2 sons who were excited to see her! Congratulations, Mrs. Jones! Stay well.”

The video also shows dozens of doctors and nurses clapping for Mrs. Jones, who is pushed in a wheelchair while being transferred to another floor.

Crisp Regional Medical Center have tested 240 people for COVID-19 and 72 of those came up positive.

Before Easter Sunday, the hospital shared a photo of doctors standing outside for a prayer. “We were blessed at CRH on this Good Friday by Pastor Jones,” they wrote.
