Time-Lapse footage showed Chinese authorities building a new hospital in Wuhan to battle the spread of the deadly coronavirus that has already taken the lives of many people.
It has been four days into the construction of the emergency medical center. Wuhan authorities say the hospital will be completed by February 3.
According to state media, “Four construction companies have worked straight through the Chinese New Year holiday to ensure that the hospital – called Huoshenhan or ‘Fire God Mountain Hospital’ – can receive patients as early as 3 February.’’
Two of the projects are in Wuhan, one in nearby Huanggang city and one in Zhenzhou in central China’s Henan Province. The trucks, diggers and builders can be seen operating in full swing on the construction site of Huoshenshan Hospital while dozens of shipping containers were placed at one side of the field.
The coronavirus hospital in Huanggang will have 1,000 bed and open today after two days of construction, reported China News.
All public venues have been shut down in Zhijiang city, except hospitals, supermarkets, farmers’ market, gas stations and drug stores, Hubei Daily reported.
According to reports, the dangerous disease ‘’is believed to have originated in a seafood market in the Chinese central city of Wuhan, has also spread to other countries, including the U.S., where five cases have been confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).’’
Scientists think that more than 100,000 people could have been influenced by the virus already. In Hubei, more than 3,500 cases have been confirmed.
Hopefully, there will be able to contain the virus soon.
