Before going into the operation theater it is natural for a human being to be anxious about it. Imagining a few people cutting your body and operating on it does scare people.

Especially the young and tiny patients who are way more scared about things than adults are.

To deal with the same, this hospital situated in California has come up with a great idea to divert the mind of their young patients right before they go to the surgery room.

In the hospital, a patient generally gets a ride on a bed with the wheels which certainly is very depressing and it reminds the patient that they are going to be torn apart by the doctors.

But in this hospital, rather than using wheel beds they are using toy cars for the tiny patient to help them get their anxiety down. The children can drive their own car to the operation theater or if they are not capable of the same, an adult can help them.

The hospital has two cars right now for the kids to choose from. They can either go for pink Volkswagen Beetle or a black Mercedes.

The hospital purchased the black Mercedes last year with the motive of helping the young patients, while the pink Volkswagen Beetle was donated to the hospital by one of the employees and its family.

The cars have been successful in helping the need as they are very popular among the tiny patients.

The staff of the hospital said “when the kids get to know that they have a cool car that they can drive to the operation theater, their faces light up with joy and excitement and it is like, all their anxiety and fear breaks down and vanishes.

The idea has turned out great and we would suggest other places to find such ideas as well. We came up with this to help the young kids who are in the initial stage of life and have to go through so much mental as well as physical trauma. We just wanted to help.”
