A couple who thought the wife’s baby bump would be the highlight of their photoshoot found themselves outshined by a playful horse.
Phil Werner and Amanda Eckstein from Ohio couldn’t contain their laughter when Buckshot the horse stole the show during their maternity photoshoot.
When their 10-year-old Ava couldn’t make it for the photoshoot, the couple decided to pose with their horses.
But playful Buckshot started making faces for the camera, and the more they laughed, the more he showed goofy expressions.
The couple’s pregnancy photoshoot quickly went viral after photographer Kristen Saffiro posted them on social media.
People amused by the photos were quick to leave comments, with many people saying the images will be a fun memory that Phil and Amanda will be able to share with their child.
Explaining how she managed to take the wonderful photos, Kristen said it started like any other maternity shoot.
The first photo is a lovely picture of Phil cradling Amanda’s huge baby bump.
But when Kristen jokingly asked the horse to smile, she was shocked when Buckshot followed her instructions and showed off his teeth.
Buckshot’s surprising smile made her laugh, and it courage the animal to smile even wider for the camera.
Speaking to Cafemom, Kristen said: “He seemed to smile, which made me laugh. He loves attention, so the more I laughed, the more he smiled.”
The photos gained more than 300,000 shares and over 139,000 likes on Facebook.
One person commented: “Best pictures I’ve ever seen. You are very lucky parents to be and I know your baby will be loved so much and happy to have a horse to love.”
Another wrote: “These are awesome. So much love for the pictures. Congratulations to the family, including the 4-legged ones.”
