A homeowner was caught on camera jumping on her backyard after it turned into a ‘bouncy waterbed’ following a massive rainstorm.

The springy backyard took place in Georgia, USA, where Alison Parrish happily jumped on the moving soil after a downpour.

While the movements appear unrealistic, it is believed that the situation could happen where once dugout area was poorly filled with soil, suggesting this could be the location where a swimming pool once used to stand.

Due to heavy rain, the water was able to collect within the air pockets beneath the loose surface, creating the effect of a waterbed.

In the short footage, a woman is seen walking around the yard and jumping on the loose soil that appears to be floating on top of rainwater.

As she jumps and slams the ground, the soil beneath her feet begins to wiggle and gives the impression that she could be swallowed whole by the phenomena.

After the video went viral, viewers came up with plenty of potential causes of the bouncy backyard in question. As some suggested, the incident could also occur if a water pipe burst underground and filled the earth with water from below.
