Queen Elizabeth Distraught Over Dame Vera Lynn’s Passing, Reports Say


Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly sad and distraught over the death of Dame Vera Lynn, who was a beacon of hope and courage for the Brits during the Second World War.

She has sent her private condolences to the family of the deceased, who was also her friend surviving history itself through the years. Dame Lynn was 103 years of age when she died on Thursday morning.

Her Majesty had been the first person to be told the news after she enjoyed decades of friendship with the wartime singer. Dame Vera’s assistant Susan Flood told the press that ‘Her Majesty was very, very sad. They sent their deepest condolences to the family.’

‘We’ll Meet Again’ has been turning into a novel source of inspiration again in the current coronavirus pandemic with the Queen using the words in her speech as well as public announcements through her social media platform to spike up the British morale once again, almost 70 years after its initial usage.
