Hilary Tisch, Daughter Of New York Giants’ Co-Owner, Takes Her Own Life At The Age Of 36


Hilary Tisch, the daughter of Steve Tisch, the co-owner of New York Giants, has passed away at the young age of 36 after making an attempt on her life during the weekend.

According to TMZ, Hilary’s father, Steve, told them in a statement that his daughter had been battling depression prior to her premature death.

Over the weekend, Hilary reportedly made an attempt on her own life and ended up in a hospital. On Monday, the 36-year-old passed away, leaving behind heartbroken family and friends.

“She, like so many others, bravely fought the disease of depression for as long as she could,” Steve wrote in a statement to TMZ.

The grieving father also dubbed his daughter “a kind, caring and beautiful person” and suggested her death “leaves a hole” in the hearts of her family.

According to TMZ, sources have confirmed that Hilary had been battling depression for several years.

Despite her personal struggles, Hilary spent a lot of time doing charity work at Operation Smile while managing her career as a gemologist and a jewelry designer.

According to Dôen, an online clothes retailer, Hilary was also one of the company’s founding members who loved “discovering and collecting vintage furniture, objects, and beautiful clothing both old and new.”

Following the 36-year-old’s passing, father Steve confirmed the entire family is “utterly heartbroken” and in the process of mourning the tragic loss.

“We love and will miss her dearly,” the New York Giants’ co-owner expressed.

Paying respects to Hilary and offering support to her family was also Giants’ co-owner John Mara.

“On behalf of the Mara family and the rest of the Giants organization, I want to express our deepest sympathy to Steve and his family,” he said according to New York Post. “Our hearts are heavy for their loss of Hilary. We pray for their peace and comfort.”
