A group of six New Jersey High school students worked really hard to play their sci-fi movie to life on the stage. The group got really excited when all the Hollywood A-listers were brought to their side because of the performance.
The group at North Bergen High School performed a play on Ridley Scott’s blockbuster movie Alien even after having only $3,500 as their school budget.
The play seemed so real, scary, and at the same time, it was a huge success. The play had patterns of tension, special effects, and terrifying costumes.
After the massive success of the play, some of the audience members posted videos on social media, and that’s how the teens became popular.
Later, Hudson County residents asked them for an encore, but the students said that they don’t have enough money for a second performance.
Surprisingly, the group got a letter and $5,000 from the director Ridley Scott. He wrote that He is impressed with the creativity, hard work, and imagination that the group has put to produce this show.
It shows how limiting resources can also deliver the best results because of vision and determination.
The teens got super excited after the letter and the money they received, so they decided to put up the second show of Alien: The Play to mark up the 40th anniversary of this film.
The star from the blockbuster was seating in the front row along with the other 830 audience members. Later on, she happily had a conversation with the players and also autographed their costumes.
After the success of both their plays the group also received a surprise as the New York Conservatory of Dramatic arts offered each one of them a $10,000 scholarship and $1,000 summer program scholarship.
The students got really excited about their show and how it turned out to be such a huge success. They all were praised for their outstanding performance throughout, and it was amazing to see that they all were so hard working.
