A pool tragedy was narrowly averted thanks to an eagle-eyed lifeguard and her quick reflexes.
A video grab captures the moment a kid is struggling in the pool while no one else notices his trouble.
The boy is having difficulty staying above the water but he just keeps sinking even as other swimmers around him don’t notice and continue frolicking in the pool.
Fortunately for the boy, a lifeguard was on duty and she was worth every dollar of her salary as she’s the only one to notice that he’s in trouble and quickly springs into action.
She grabs a flotation device and immediately leaps into the water. A few strokes bring her to the boy and she immediately takes him into her arms.
It was only at this point that the other swimmers realize that something was wrong.
Although the video ends with the boy being safe, it’s unclear if he had suffered any other injuries or had any other companions in the area.
