For every father, giving his daughter away is not an easy thing to do.
It is a cyclone of emotions that only a father can go through and being a man, fathers are not really great at expressing it either. This is why they get a special dance with their daughters at her wedding. The father-daughter dance.
Hayley Elliott was getting married and danced with her father Martin. While it is a special occasion for any family, it became a little extra special for this one because Martin, who is autistic, could express his feelings for the first time after looking at how his daughter has grown up and is ready to get married.
What was even more great? The photographer captured the two in the perfect moment and Martin was about to drop a tear of joy while his daughter Hayley held him.
Hayley Elliott posted the picture on her Facebook expressing how she is tremendously happy after receiving the wedding pictures because her father was captured sharing his emotions for the first time ever.
Hayley and her family had just found out Martin was autistic 5 years ago. For years, he had been getting treated for schizophrenia after being diagnosed wrong. The poor man could not receive the right help for the most part of his life.
This is not the only case where a mental disorder syndrome was diagnosed wrong. In several cases, even after the right diagnoses, the patient does not receive the help they need only to make their life extremely tough and sometimes miserable.
Fortunately, Martin had been a lucky man who had a family that loved him and even though he did not receive the right help for a long time, he is finally having it and maybe it is the reason he was able to shed tears of joy and let his emotions out.
