This story of a pregnant street dog being rescued by a kind-hearted couple is sure to bring tears to your eyes.
A few days ago, Jack Anderson and his wife opted to have a wonderful fried chicken meal at their favorite local hotspot stand. And that’s when all of a sudden, they soon realized that they were not alone and had company to join them.
There was a large-sized dog named Poppy who just couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of the couple. Those large innocent eyes and adorable expressions were just too hard to miss and she instantly stole the couple’s heart.
Lying on the sidewalk, the pregnant pooch appeared lonely and silently watched the duo eat.
“She didn’t even come close to us or beg us for food. But at the same time, she just never took her eyes off of us,” the couple revealed.
While the owners of the stand came over and decided to shoo her away, the dog appeared very scared and soon disappeared.
But after their meal was over, the couple revealed how they spotted the pooch again for the second time while driving home. But this time around, the couple paid extra close attention to her belly which clearly appeared pregnant.
Therefore, the couple knew that they had to do everything to assist her. They offered her food but the dog appeared very standoffish, scared to come close. But the couple worked hard to earn the dog’s trust. And soon, they convinced her to eat peacefully, straight out of her hands.
Right after that, they lifted the dog up and put her inside the car. Poppy appeared super grateful and relieved to be somewhere that looked safe and comfortable too. And before you know it, she began to break down into tears of joy.
As Jack’s wife held her, Jack began recording a video and that’s the exact moment he realized the tears.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it in a dog,” Jack revealed, adding how it made a huge impact on his heart.
