A couple from Newark, New Jersey, who are parents of rare albino twins, are accused of having affairs by strangers.
Christin and Russell Lewis welcomed a pair of rare albino twins, one boy, and one girl, on July 23, 2016.
The couple was left shocked when they saw the twins, Nolan and Savannah, as they didn’t look like them as both, Christin and Russell, are black. While the twins have light skin and pale eyes.

The couple has now revealed that strangers accuse them of having affairs as the twins look nothing like them and they can’t believe the light-skinned twins are their biological children.
The couple says that strangers, who don’t know the twins are albinos, accuse them of having affairs and say hurtful things.
37-year-old Christin told SWNS: “People think that I cheated on my husband to have white babies.”
The mother said that once an agent contacted them for twins modeling and asked her husband: “Did you have the babies with a white woman?”
The couple says they are faithful and the twins are their biological children. The couple gets affected by the hurtful comments by the strangers.
Christin said: “I want to make a public service announcement: we are faithful, we did not cheat on each other, and we did not use surrogates. I carried these babies for nine months.”
The parents plan on homeschooling their twins as they are afraid they might also experience the same thing. They don’t want their children to get bullied at school.
“We probably won’t put them in the system with regular children. We think that they are very sensitive and people do stare at them on the street. We want to shield them from that and let them know they are beautiful and can do anything they set their minds to”, Christin said.
Talking about the albino twins, she said: “They have a hard time focusing with their eyes. They have very rapid eye movement.”
“Every bit of hair on my son’s body is blonde and Savannah is ginger. She’s a different type of albino. She has red hair, red eyebrows, and red eyelashes.”
The mother says she is now afraid of stepping out of her house because of people’s negative and hurtful comments.
They are tired of people stopping them and asking questions.
“At the moment, my husband and I are catching the flack. We don’t walk down the street without someone stopping us, pointing at us, and asking questions”, she said.
Christin recalled one incident: “My husband took Nolan on the train one day and a passenger said to him: “You got a black baby with white hair and blue eyes. He called Nolan’s hair “n****r hair.”
“Everyone in the carriage started laughing. It took my husband so much strength to not react. When he told me what happened, he started crying. How could someone speak about a child that way? That’s when I knew we were going to have difficulties”, she said.
The parents say their children are beautiful and they want them to embrace their differences.
