In a video shared on TikTok, a Harvard graduate can be heard threatening to stab people who say ‘All Lives Matter.
A Government and Psychology graduate, Claira Janover criticized the ALM slogan and said it was the equivalent of a paper cut compared to a knife wound for people of color.
Janover said in the video, “The next person who has the sheer nerve, the sheer entitled caucasity to say ‘All Lives Matter’, imma stab you.
“Imma stab you and while you’re struggling and bleeding out, imma show you my paper cut and say ‘my cut matters too.”
Her LinkedIn profile shows she is a Government and Psychology graduate from Harvard University. She has volunteered for the Connecticut Democrats and worked as a business analyst for Deloitte, an accounting firm.
Janover’s remarks sparked outrage online, with one person commenting, “Is there something in the water that these crazy liberals drink? This Harvard Leftist threatened to stab anyone on campus who says ‘all lives matter?’”
Another wrote, “Harvard senior Claira Janover threatens to stab anyone who says “all lives matter.” Will liberal colleges and universities ever teach students that speech ≠ violence?”
Many people also praised the Harvard graduate for her words and said her clip was intended as mockery or satire.
One person wrote, “ClairaJanover is articulate, educated and brave. It’s obvious that the republicans are threatened! Your critical thinking scares them love. @cyanover we are with you!!”
Harvard University has taken a stance against police brutality and racism in the wake of George Floyd’s death. The university said in a statement: “We are outraged by the countless deaths of Black people at the hands of police officers and citizens caused by a system that treats Black people as expendable…
“As many students across the nation and world engage as citizens and leaders in protesting violence against Black communities, we affirm their rights and freedoms to peacefully protest.
“We stand in solidarity with these students and support their work to end systemic racism in this country. Students who exercise their rights by peacefully protesting will not have their chances of admission compromised.”
