Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle will no longer receive any public funds, according to Buckingham Palace.
The couple will also refrain from using their royal titles.
“Following many months of conversations and more recent discussions, I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family,” the Queen said in a statement.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family.”
According to reports, the couple will be ‘required to step back from royal duties’ and as a result they won’t receive any public funds.
“This new model will take effect in the Spring of 2020,” it added.
This comes after Prince Harry and Meghan announced that they were stepping back as senior royals.
The Queen issued a statement after ‘constructive discussions’ about the future after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans to step back from royal duties.
Prince Harry and his brother Prince William also released a joint statement in which they denied reports that the Duke of Sussex has been bullied by the Royal Family.
“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge,” it reads.
“For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”
According to The Times, Prince William have said: “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that any more; we’re separate entities.
“I’m sad about that. All we can do, and all I can do, is try and support them and hope the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page. I want everyone to play on the same team.”
