Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen partying with their friends Mikey Hess and Misha Nonoo as they kickstarted their three-day trip in New York City.
Photos for Mail Online show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex inside Bemelmans Bar in the $1,700-a-night Carlyle Hotel in NYC.
Onlookers said the royal couple pulled up with many cars and a huge security team.
Witnesses said their guards took over tables around Harry and Meghan and tried to blend in as they chatted with oil baron Mikey Hess and his wife Misha Nonoo.
Others shared how the Sussexes drank martinis before they left through the back door three hours later.
This came the night before Meghan and Harry visited One World Trade Center and the 9/11 memorial during their first major public appearance since they stepped down from their royal duties.
Last year, the Finding Freedom biography co-authored by journalists Omid Scobie and Caroyln Durand documented Meghan and Misha’s friendship.
It claims how Markus Anderson, Soho Houses global membership director, allowed the royal with introductions to many cultural and business elites.
“At a Soho House lunch in Miami, he was the one who sat the actress next to Misha, a budding fashion designer with a vivacious personality and impeccable pedigree,” the authors wrote.
“The occasion for the December 2014 Miami trip was Art Basel, a decadent art fair that brings the internationally rich and famous for a week of parties and events of all sorts and sizes.”
“Markus invited Meghan, an art lover, to stay at the epicenter of the action, Soho Beach House, to set some sun, see some art, and have some fun,” it continued.
“A perfect place to make new friends and connections, the Soho house event saw Misha and Meghan hit it off immediately.”
The biography suggests Misha and Markus were behind Prince Harry and Meghan’s first meeting.
