Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Considering Bringing Their Children Archie And Lilibet To The UK To ‘Pave The Way To Healing The Rift’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are considering taking their children Archie and Lilibet to the UK for Christmas, royal expert Katie Nicholl has claimed.

Nicholl told Closer that it is being “looked as an opportunity” to “pave way for a healing rift of the family rift.”

The last time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent Christmas in the UK was in 2018.

Since stepping down from their royal duties in March 2020, Harry has only returned to the UK twice but the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t returned since then.

Their visit would mark daughter Lilibet Diana’s first time in the UK and would finally give the Queen a chance to meet her great-granddaughter.

“When Harry and Meghan left, they made it clear they didn’t want to give up their home in Britain. They still have Frogmore Cottage and their plan was to come back to the UK,” Nicholl said.

“Christmas is being looked at as an opportunity. There may be a softening, which could pave the way for a healing of the family rift,” she continued.

“It’s certainly what the Queen wants. Prince Charles would like to see his grandchildren. A meet-up suggests they hope to move on and sort things out.”

Bringing Archie and Lilibet with them could soften the frosty relationship the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rumored to have with other Royal Family members.

Prince Harry and his brother Prince William have been reunited twice since the couple’s decision to leave: the first one was during the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April, and the second one was to unveil the statue of the late Princess Diana in July.
