Harry And Meghan ‘Feels Fortunate’ To Have Enjoyed Archie’s Christening And Has Shared Photos From The Big Day


Parents Harry and Meghan have said they ‘feel fortunate’ to have enjoyed Archie’s christening with his godparents.

They shared two photos from the celebration but haven’t revealed who the chosen friends and family are.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave a glimpse into baby Archie’s christening, sharing photos on social media a few hours after the secret ceremony happened as they wanted to ‘share the joy’ of the event.

The couple posted two pictures and said they felt ‘so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public.’ They also thanked supporters for their kindness.

Several hours after the ceremony, 37-year-old Meghan and 34-year-old Harry shared an official photo in which they post alongside the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Lady Jane Fellowes, Doria Ragland, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Princess Diana’s sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes were also in the official photo.

In the second picture, which was black and white, mother Meghan was looking into Harry’s eyes as the Duke placed his hand on his wife’s arm while looking at their son.

25 guests were present at the baptism, which saw Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor christened a private chapel. The couple shared photos celebrating with their family.

The royal couple faced backlash about the event as they wanted to keep the ceremony private.

Sharing the images with their almost 9 million followers on social media, the couple wrote that they had loved celebrating the day with Archie’s godparents.

“This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
