Prince Harry Urges Every Single Person to Fight Against Racism


In a virtual interview he had with Color of Change, a civil rights organization, Prince Harry said that everyone on this globe must participate in the struggle to end the history of racism.

The Duke of Sussex is currently residing in Beverley Hills with his wife Meghan Markle and their one year old son Archie. As of now, they are living in US comedian Tyler Perry’s mansion that has been reported as being worth $14 million.

In the same interview, Prince Harry also praised the current younger generation. The trait that he found commendable amongst today’s young was their proactiveness, that they went straight to action instead of waiting for something to happen.

The interview was conducted between the 35 year old Duke and civil rights activist Rashad Robinson. The retired royalty seemed to be focused on the rights of the African American in particular, saying that every single one us must join in showing solidarity with the black community.

The authors of the not-yet released biography on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “Finding Freedom” claimed that Prince Harry’s social activism was inspired by his wife. Markle has been vocal with her activism, most recently donating to a charity that works with migrant families.

During the interview, Rashard explained that the objective of the mission is to bring the voices in the streets to real change that can fight against the inherent and systemic racism so prevalent in societies. Harry only had great praises for the activist, saying that his work was beautiful.

The aforementioned authors said that meeting Markle marks an important turning point in Harry’s life because it is likely the first time he met someone whose life has been directly impacted by racism, which they believe must have been a shock to the royalty.

The thoughts that Harry expressed in the interview can be understood as an extension of his social media post. In it, the Duke talked about the raging hatred in virtual spaces, and asked that companies rethink about their digital advertisement.

In an editorial that he penned for an American magazine, Prince Harry talked about how social media is dividing, rather than uniting the people.
