The Duke of Sussex has been slammed by critics recently after he delivered a speech revolving around the theme of mass-scale misinformation.
Plenty of critics alongside a Royal author have gone about slamming the Prince for showing hypocritical behavior. And that’s when Harry didn’t shy away from blaming the media and social media for their mass-scale information.
Harry was reportedly seen criticizing all those who go about peddling in the lines of fear and lies. This was all part of his speech at the GQ Men of the Year Awards that took place on Wednesday.
Harry was invited to introduce a new award for all those individuals who worked relentlessly throughout the pandemic in an effort to try and create the much hyped-up Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccine for the deadly coronavirus.
But it was not all loud cheer and applause for the Prince. Many felt that his surprising words were a true example of hypocrisy. They also made it a point to question the Prince’s stance on the matter and made him remember the own words he used during his bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey!
In the same way, there were a number of Royal fans who felt the Prince had gone one step too far in making such comments on such a public platform. Some were seen praising him for speaking his mind while others felt like he shouldn’t be throwing stones at glasshouses.
At the start of his speech, Harry took a moment to hail the entire team of heroes behind the jab. Referring to them as the ‘heroes of the highest order,’ the Prince then said a few words regarding how they have all done their part in the fight against the deadly virus.
But it didn’t take him too long to mention how he strongly felt that people were succumbing to the overwhelming pressure relating to mass-scale misinformation. In the same way, he added that this system was toxic and it needed to be overcome to help prevent new variants from forming.
