Coronavirus has affected all industries tremendously.
Especially the hospitality industry as people have stopped going out altogether. Because of the same, hundreds and thousands of restaurant workers have been affected.
If you are one of them, you do not have to panic because help is coming. And if you are someone who is willing to help the industry and its workers financially then here is the way how you can put in your contribution.
Guy Fieri has come together with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and launched the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund on Friday.
The campaign that is working along with the relief fund will raise money to give the one-time grant to all the affected restaurant workers.
The one-time grant amounts to $500. If you are willing to give your contribution, go to rerf.us. and donate as much as you can.
As per the press release, the application forms for the grant will be released on April 2. To avail, this grant one must have to
- Show proofs of their working in the industry for as minimum as 90 days.
- Reveal proof that restaurant industry work was the primary income provider for the person.
- And the person has faced a drop or complete cut in the income from or after the 10th of March.
Fieri said “I have worked my entire life in the restaurant industry.I have worked on tables, assisting the chefs, to washing the dishes.
I have done it all.
I have traveled around the country and have met so many people who have been in this industry ever since they have started.
I have met some of the hardest working people in this industry and my heart goes out to them. It is important for us to come together and help the affected as much as we can.”
