A 27-year-old man from Grimes county has been arrested and charged with murder after he shot dead a co-worker and injured five others.
Larry Bollin, a custom cabinet maker in Texas, is now being held on a $1 million bond after a massive manhunt.
During a press conference, Bryan Police Chief Eric Buske said that an employee of Kent Moore Cabinets may be responsible for the mass shooting, according to KBTX.
All victims were rushed to a local hospital, with one suffering an asthma attack related to the attack.
Another officer with the Bryan Police Department said that the incident happened around 2:30 pm at Brazos County Industrial Park.
“A DPS Trooper was shot while pursuing an individual suspected of being involved in the shooting in Bryan. He remains in serious but stable condition,” the Department of Public Safety wrote on Twitter.
Witnesses told KBTX that the gunman “was very selective about who he shot.”
Bryan Police Lt. Jason James said during a press conference that no cops were injured that the fatal shooting “was already over with” when cops arrived.
“Officers responded and they found several victims. They were checking the area, checking the building and looking for more victims,” he said.
One female worker said that all of the victims were men.
“To me, I was hiding like 10 minutes in a real small place. I think we are very lucky and blessed to be talking to you right now at this moment. I am still in shock because I think we live in a very peaceful community and nothing happens ever,” she said.
“Everyone told me that this guy is very calm and everything, I don’t know why he decide to do this,” the female worker added.
