Gucci Unveils New Tartan Dress For MEN In A Bid To Fight ‘Toxic Stereotypes That Mold Masculine Gender Identity’


Gucci finally unveils its new orange tartan dress which has a satin bow waist for men! The new design is to disrupt the ‘toxic stereotypes that mold masculine gender identity.

The new Tartan cotton long smock shirt, which costs $2,198 (£1,700), also comes with a Contrast Peter Pan collar and pearl buttons.

Made from 100% cotton, the orange and beige outfit also features a button front, smock embroidery, and short sleeves.

According to the Italian luxury brand, the tartan smock can be ‘styled over ripped denim jeans’ and its ‘delicate colors reflects the idea of fluidity explored for the Fall Winter 2020 fashion show, disrupting the toxic stereotypes that mold masculine gender identity.’

The description reads: “The contrast Peter Pan collar and smock embroidery on the front add a childhood inspired element, which ties to a recurrent theme of the collection.
