A mother-in-law has been slammed online for wearing a white dress to her son’s wedding, and it’s more glamorous than the bride’s.
A photo from the wedding shows the bride wearing a white dress with a silver belt as her husband wraps his arm around her.
Next to the groom is his mother dressed in a glamorous and revealing bridal down.
Many people pointed out that the mother’s dress is more lustrous than the bride’s. It even features a cutout that reveals more skin.
It is not known how the bride reacted to her mother-in-law’s dress but people on Reddit are furious on her behalf.
One Redditor wrote: “I like how the son is angled away from her but she still clearly has her arm around him. Congrats on alienating your son for life!”
Another wrote: “It’s…a wedding dress. Also more revealing than the bride’s dress, hitting two no-nos with one stone.”
A third added: “I’d be super upset. Especially since the MIL’s dress is prettier (imo) and more revealing. The only way this is acceptable is if the bride explicitly okay this dress beforehand. Even then, the MIL asking for permission to do so would be pretty ballsy.”
Someone else said: “Absolutely not. Maybe I’m heartless but anyone trying to wear a white dress to my wedding would be turned away at the door lmao not having it!”
This is not the first time a mother-in-law has worn a bridal gown to her son’s wedding.
Earlier this year, another photo shared on That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming (Non Ban happy) Facebook group shows a MIL wearing a white gown, and guests found it difficult to determine who the bride was.
