A grieving daughter has been subjected to vile online harassment after opening up about her father’s premature death and suggesting he would still be alive if it wasn’t for the government’s “sluggish response.

As 24-year-old Hannah Brady explained, her 55-year-old dad, Shaun, passed away from coronavirus after contracting the killer bug before the lockdown was put in place.
After falling ill, Shaun had allegedly spent 42 days in the ICU before succumbing to COVID-19 and leaving behind his two daughters aged 22 and 24.
In her message to the MPs, Brady blamed her father’s death on the government’s “sluggish response” and suggested he could still be alive if proper measures were implemented sooner.
As the mourning daughter added, people have been accusing her of lying and calling the pandemic a hoax.
“I am using my grief – grief that has come to me and my sister more than 30 years too soon – and I am subjecting myself to online abuse and trolling – that Covid’s a hoax, that Covid’s a lie, that I should be hanged for questioning our Government – so that bereaved families are no longer ignored,” Hannah expressed during a virtual hearing.
“We have a wealth of insight into the nightmare of contracting, suffering with, dying from and grieving because of Covid.”
As the 24-year-old added, the virus caused her father’s lungs to collapse and led to heart failure, kidney failure, and brain damage even though he had no underlying conditions and lived a healthy lifestyle.
“Dad was a key worker and he was so proud to be considered one. He worked in food production at H.J Heinz. In his spare time he went to the gym three times a week. Dad had no underlying health conditions,” Hannah elaborated.
“He didn’t drink, he didn’t smoke and he was not obese. His last day off sick was over 20 years ago. Dad had a lot of reasons to live – his daughters, his family, his community, his charity work.
“But he only needed one reason to die – the government’s sluggish response to the threat of Covid-19 to our country.”
Following her speech, Hannah also spoke out in an interview with the Mirror and claimed her family has been subjected to abuse each time they share their experience with the disease with the public.
“Every piece we put out there, every post we put on our own social media pages, every time someone speaks out we get abuse. ‘We are lying. It is a hoax. How can we believe this? It’s just the flu,’” she said.
