Eco-warrior Greta Thunberg has once again warned world leaders that they “haven’t seen anything yet” as she addressed masses of people during her protest in Switzerland.

“So far during this decade we are seeing no sign whatsoever that real climate action is coming. That has to change. This is just the beginning. You haven’t seen anything yet. We assure you of that!” the 17-year-old climate change activist said.

Thunberg held her speech in the city of Lausanne whereas what appears to be thousands of activists have come to see her deliver a powerful message.

According to the event’s organizers, some 15,000 people have gathered in the square along with dozens of activist groups to share their message.

Some of the comments that appeared on banners, or were expressed orally by the protestors, included: “Let’s Change The System, Not the Climate,” “One, two, three degrees! It’s a crime against humanity,” “Wake Up and Smell the Bushfires,” and “fear for the glaciers.”

Greta’s trip to Lausanne followed shortly after her father, Svante Thunberg, has spoken out and revealed how his daughter’s decision to embark on a global eco-crusade helped save his daughter from depression.

As Svante admitted, he initially thought that his daughter leading the climate change movement was a “bad idea.”

“We thought it was a bad idea, just the idea of your own daughter sort of putting herself at the very front line of such a huge question like climate change. You wouldn’t want that as a parent,” Svante said during his appearance on BBC Radio 4 Today.

According to the dad, his daughter had been depressed for years after she was diagnosed with Asperger’s, causing her to shut in at her home and stop talking to other people.

As Svante added, Greta’s condition began improving after her mum stopped flying and he turned vegan.

“We are not climate activists, we never were. We knew it was the right thing to do – but I didn’t do it to save the climate, I did it to save my child,” he said.

Mr. Thunberg has also claimed that her health has significantly improved after she started skipping school to protest in front of the parliament.

“During her first sit-in outside the Swedish parliament, she began answering journalists’ questions as when they approached her. On the third day, she ate a vegan pad thai dish someone had handed to her,” he explained.

“I cannot explain what a change that meant to her and to us. And she could do things she could not have done before. I can see Greta is very happy from doing this.”
