Greta Thunberg Hits Back At Russia’s President After He Called Her A ‘Poorly Informed Teenager’

The 16-year-old Swedish activist has been mocked and called numerous names over the past weeks after she scolded world leaders at the UN Climate Summit for not doing enough to combat climate change.

Greta Thunberg has been criticized by many, from regular people to prime ministers and presidents, and has also been told to stop talking.

The teen even got a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who called Thunberg a ‘poorly informed teenager.’

Putin said at an energy conference in Moscow: “I may disappoint you but I don’t share the common excitement about the speech by Greta Thunberg.

“No one has explained to Greta that the modern world is complex and different and… people in Africa or in many Asian countries want to live at the same wealth level as in Sweden.”

But Greta owns that label and even changed her bio on Twitter to include the words from the Russian president.

This is the same thing she did when US President Donald Trump criticized her UN speech by retweeting a video in which Wired reported on the activist’s speech.

Wire captioned the video: “’People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth.’ Watch Greta Thunberg speak at the UN Monday morning.”

The president responded: “She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”

Greta then expertly trolled the president by changing her Twitter bio to: “A very happy young girl looking to a bright and wonderful future.”
