Greta Thunberg joked that she would reveal “all the dark secrets behind the climate conspiracy” in her 18th birthday tweet.
The teenage Swedish activist, who is known for her sassy jokes and epic comebacks, just celebrated her 18th birthday.
Thanking her fans for their wishes, Thunberg also took the opportunity to mock climate change deniers who often suggested she was being controlled by adults who wish to fulfill their own agenda.
“Thank you so much for all the well-wishes on my 18th birthday!” the teen activist wrote in her post.
“Tonight you will find me down at the local pub exposing all the dark secrets behind the climate and school strike conspiracy and my evil handlers who can no longer control me! I am free at last!”
For the special occasion, Greta also donned a ‘flat Mars society’ shirt which appears to ridicule flat Earthers and their theory that Earth is flat.
Prior to her milestone birthday, the young activist also took aim at celebrities who preach about the environment while continuously riding private jets as she said she didn’t care when asked how she felt about celebrities who preach about environmental changes.
“I’m not telling anyone else what to do, but there is a risk when you are vocal about these things and don’t practice as you preach, then you will become criticized for that and what you are saying won’t be taken seriously,” Thunberg said in an interview with The Times.
