Especially for contemporary country artists, it’s a lifelong dream to play at the Opry. For a lucky singer by the name of Josh Turner, this dream was realized. But he didn’t stop there. He shared the spotlight with a very special guest, who has had the same dream all her life — all 98 years of it — as well! The special guest was Lois Cunningham, his grandmother-in-law.

During his set, Turner takes the mic and tells the live audience:

“My wife’s 98 years old grandmother, her name is Lois Cunningham, and she’s gonna come out and play on the Grand Ole Opry stage for the very first time.”

Out came Lois, and she beautifully performed “How Great Thou Art”. As she made her exit after her wonderful performance in front of the huge audience, she received a well-deserved standing ovation. What a moment to remember! It’s amazing to witness a 98-year-old woman still check things off her bucket list! You’re really never too old to pursue your dreams.
