Alexa can help you do quite a lot of things.

She can tell you the weather of your city, the live scores of a sports game, and pretty much anything you ask.

But it turns out, Amazon’s virtual assistant can even cheer up an old fella by doing ‘farts.’

A hilarious video of two young boys teaching their grandfather how to make Alexa fart has gone viral on the internet after it was shared by the kids’ dad.

Posting the footage on Twitter, Nick Harvey, from Crowborough, East Sussex, wrote: “My sons and I went round to dad’s tonight.

“Dad was looking a bit glum, so my youngest decided to ask Alexa to fart.”

The 2-minute-long video has been viewed almost half a million times and has inspired people across the globe to do the same with their Alexas.

In the clip, the old man can be seen laughing uncontrollably as his grandkids make Alexa fart incessantly.

The boys then ask Alexa to do a ’10-second fart countdown’, which is probably something they’re quite familiar with.

After a brief silence, the virtual assistant device releases a lengthy guff, making the grandpa laugh hysterically as the kids chuckle along.

Catching his breath, the grandfather says “Oh dear oh dear” before asking: “How do I stop it doing that?”

Alexa then makes another short fart, saying: “That was a small one, try asking for a quick and squelchy fart.” The kids do so and the device replies: “Here comes a quick and squelchy fart… *QUICK SQUELCHY FART*”

And as you can guess, the ‘squelchy fart’ has the old man cackling once again.

Nick later revealed that someone called ‘Hugo’ send a message to him on Twitter, saying he was the one who created Alexa’s flatulence.

Hugo also told Nick that since his video went viral, people worldwide have been asking their Alexas to fart. “I have never been more proud,” Nick said.
