95-Year-Old Father-Of-Ten Makes Incredible Recovery After 24 Days In The Hospital


A 95-year-old father-of-ten has made a miraculous recovery after spending 24 days in the hospital battling COVID-19.

Victor Cornell is an inspirational father-of-ten who beat coronavirus after testing positive for COVID-19 at the beginning of July.

According to Victor, he most likely contracted the killer bug while getting treated for a cut at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Victoria, Australia

Following his stay at the hospital, both Victor and his partner, Jean, tested positive for COVID-19 and were isolated at Maroondah Hospital.

While his partner is still recovering, Victor has managed to beat the disease and was pronounced coronavirus-free after 24 days at the hospital.

Due to the elderly man’s age and condition, Victor’s family and doctors were afraid that the senior would succumb to the disease that has so far already claimed more than 660,000 lives worldwide.

According to 7News, Victor credited his family’s support for his miraculous recovery. “My family has been marvelous; they have stood by me. I’ve got a lot to live for,” he allegedly said.

Speaking of his father’s condition, son Russell admitted his family was worried Victor would die of the disease due to his age. He also said his father had called him last week and told him “to say goodbye” to the family in his name.

“We told him: ‘Dad, whatever you’re doing, you’ve always got to hate Collingwood [football club] and barrack for Carlton,’ and he liked that,” Russell recalled joking.

Despite the odds stacked against him, Victor had managed to recover from COVID-19 and tested negative for the virus after 24 days at the hospital.

“Staff have been amazed. And yeah, he’s just an inspiration to us all,” the senior’s doctor, Dr. Ortis Estacio, expressed.
