Gossip Girl, the millennial favorite TV series which went live for the first time in 2007 and ended in 2012, starring Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, is about to get a spinoff.

The original show revolved around a bunch of elite-class Manhattan teens who were followed, watched and teased by a ruthless blogger called Gossip Girl.

Based on the YA novels by author Cecily von Ziegesar, the hit series was on air for six seasons.

The show was famous for two things; its extensive fashion content and the scandalous antics of its characters.

Gossip Girl proved to be a turning point for Lively’s Hollywood career, who played Serena van der Woodsen – a popular socialite.
