The couple starred together as Mr. And Mrs. Santa Clause in the Netflix film The Christmas Chronicles. Even though Goldie only had a short appearance, it was already enough for us to feel the love radiating from them.
There is no need to wait for another decade to see them again in a movie as Kurt Russell returns as Santa Claus in The Christmas Chronicles 2!
Joining the famous actor will be Goldie Hawn as Mrs. Santa Claus.
The Netflix sequel is directed by Chris Columbus, the mastermind behind Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Stepmom, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. He said that it was a pleasure to have the stunning couple who also brought heaps of joy on the set.
“There’s a tremendous amount of respect there and a tremendous amount of love and trust, partially because they’ve been together for so long. They just get along beautifully,” he said.
Sharing the first look of the film that will hit Netflix in 2020, Goldie Hawn wrote on Instagram: “A year later and I’m still ringing Santa’s jingle bells. I couldn’t be happier to be working on @christmaschronicles again with Kurt Russell, my real-life Santa.”
This time, Goldie hopes she plays a longer role. Who wouldn’t want to see the two the couple on screen over and over again?
Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said to Business Insider in 2018: “Even in his successful career, (Kurt Russell) has never had that many people see one of his movies in the first week ever.
“Even movies that go on to make $1 billion don’t typically do that in the first week.”
