An adorable puppy has been winning millions of hearts online.
The golden retriever, called Golden Unicorn Rae (ear backward), has only one ear and it is located on top of her head.
Her TikTok video has been liked almost half a million times!
You see, Rae had an accidental injury at birth, leaving her with only her right ear. But as she grew, her ear ‘migrated to the top of her head.’
It is unclear how her ear moved to the middle of her head but the veterinary technician who shared videos of the adorable pup online offered some explanation.
“She was bit by her mum at a couple days old. Lost her ear and had to have her skin sutured. It pulled her one ear to the top of her head,” the vet said, according to The Mirror.
While beautiful Rae is indeed a special pup, she is not the only unicorn dog to walk this planet.
Last year, an abandoned pooch was discovered with a tail growing from his head. Rescue charity Mac’s Mission took in the pup and named him ‘Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn.’
Thankfully, he found a loving home! The shelter’s founder, Rochelle Steffen, decided to adopt him.
In an interview with Southeast Missourian, Rochelle said: “I had no intention initially of keeping him. I didn’t want a puppy. I thought I would end up with another really sad bully case, because they’re the most misunderstood. But Narwhal is absolutely, exactly what we needed.
“It’s not just a decision from me. The whole rescue cannot fathom him leaving. We all fell in love with him.”
