A kid born with eyes in its mouth has allegedly been attracting masses of people who want to worship the animal as a deity.
The story takes place in Muzaffarpur, India, where a goat with no nose and both of its eyes located in its mouth was born to an owner who chose to remain anonymous.
According to the reports, some people in India worship deformed animals as deities and believe that they will bring them good fortune.
Following the birth of the kid, the tiny goat’s owner revealed people have been gathering around their home in an attempt to worship the animal.
“Ever since the kid was born, the people had started crowding at my house and want to worship it, but we have refused as the kid is still in distress,” the owner said.
“The villagers are considering it to be a miracle of God and believe it should be worshiped.”
As seen in the photos of the kid, the animal’s eyes appear to be attached to each other and located on the inside of its large mouth.
The condition that causes such malformations is known as Cyclopia, an extreme form of holoprosencephaly that occurs when the brain doesn’t properly divide into two hemispheres.
There is currently no cure for Cyclopia and the condition may appear both in humans and animals.
While there are plenty of cases involving goats being born with the condition, such animals usually have a very short lifespan.
