This touching and emotional video show a 53 years old man given a ‘walk of honor’ after he agreed to donate his organs after death.
This happened at St Luke’s Hospital in Meridian, Idaho on Thursday where this man was on life-support for a long time. He decided to donate his organs once the life-support would be turned off. It was no doubt a brave decision that will be remembered forever. In order to show respect and give him an honor, the hospital staff closed all the operations and lined corridor while he was wheeled through the hallway.

Although it is not yet clear what organs the mad had donated and what disease he was suffering from. Hospital staff released the video onto their facebook page and hundreds of people shared their respect for the man and prayed for him.

In the video, the man is surrounded by people, nurses, and doctors who kept him alive. Emotional family members were also among the people who lined up. Almost everyone’s eyes were wet as he was being taken to the room where his life support was turned off and he died after a few minutes.
This walk of respect has become a tradition in St Luke’s Hospital and it is given to everyone who decides to donate his organ after death. Hospital manager posted the video on Facebook and wrote, “‘I was moved by the number of people who made a point to be there.'” This man is the second person that week to have received that tribute.
The man’s organs have been donated to Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank.
It is no doubt because of these people that the world is a beautiful place. We hope he will rest in peace and may the family stay strong in this sad moment of their lives.
