According to Austin TV news station KVUE, an 11-year-old girl named Roxli Doss was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG, but after few months it disappeared which amazed the girl’s medical team.

DIPG is responsible for many important functions in the part of the brain, such as breathing and heart rate as it is a type of cancerous brain tumor. According to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts, ‘’it is impossible and its location does the surgery to try to overcome the impossible.’’

Virginia Harrod, MD, co-chief of pediatric neuro-oncology at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas told KVUE: ” It is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease,”

“You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing.”

Dr. Harrod said there is no cure for DIPG but the 11-year-old still went through weeks of radiation. Her parents prayed for girl’s health in the hope of a miracle to happen and in August the family even held a benefit for her and their community showed their support.

“And we got it,” Gena told the news outlet.

“Praise God we did,” said Scott.

“When I first saw Roxli’s MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable,” said Dr. Harrod. “The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual.”

“At Dell Children’s, Texas Children’s, at Dana-Farber, at John Hopkins, and MD Anderson, all agreed it was DIPG,” said Scott.

“Everyday we still say it,” said Gena. “It’s kind of our family thing that God healed Roxli.”

“We didn’t know how long she would be healthy and, look at her, she’s just doing awesome,” said Scott.

The parents said that Doctors double checked Roxli’s scans to confirm the tumor is not there. This moment was no less than a miracle.
