The 52-year-old victim, only identified as Huang, said he woke up in agonizing pain and discovered that part of his penis had been cut off.

According to reports, the father-of-three had fallen into a deep sleep after consuming a bowl of noodles soaked in wine at his home in Xihu Township, Taiwan.

When Huang woke up, he was shocked to see that he was bleeding and part of his sex organ had been severed off.

His jealous girlfriend, 40-year-old Phung, allegedly cut off his penis using a pair of kitchen scissors. She then flushed it down the toilet so doctors could no longer reattach it.

She then went to a police station as paramedics rushed to Huang’s home. Police later found a pair of bloodstained scissors outside the house.

Huang was taken to Changhua Christian Hospital where doctors said they had to operate to stop the bleeding and repair his urethra.

Medics confirmed that 0.59 inches (1.5 centimeters) had been cut off from the end of the patient’s penis but said that the scrotum was still intact.

“Examination showed Huang’s ‘manhood’ was sliced off and still bleeding, so doctors had to perform emergency surgery to stop the bleeding, and repair the urethra for urine release. His scrotum and testicles are still intact,” said Hospital deputy director Chou Chih-Chung.

The patient “is not in any deadly danger. He was still in pain after recovering from anesthetics, but can drink water and eat normally,” Chou continued.

“The main length of the patient’s ‘manhood’ could not be found and could not be reattached. The remaining part is insufficient to engage in sexual intercourse, therefore the best way is to implant an artificial penis.

“He will need further reconstructive surgery and also psychological counseling.”
