Disney World is not only the place for kids to enjoy fun rides but also to meet their favorite princesses.
It is the place where kid’s dreams come true. A beautiful girl named Daisy is a testament to this. She happened to meet her favorite Disney princess and now she is convinced that anything is possible. But that chance meeting almost didn’t happen.
Daisy had been in and out of surgery her entire life. She has had surgical operations from head to toe. Make-A-Wish Foundation was so moved by her condition that they decided to give her a once in a lifetime trip to Disney land so she can meet a princess.
Daisy was so excited. She didn’t get to go anywhere exciting. She was in the hospital, most of the time, due to her many surgeries. She was so thankful and could not wait to meet her favorite princess.
When Daisy got to Disney World, Belle from Beauty and the Beast asked the little girl a question that made her break down and cry.

Daisy was born with a form of dwarfism known as Achondroplasia. Due to her condition, she had had to have surgery on her neck, back, legs and neck. As a result, she has been in and out of the hospital for most of her life. One of the nurses who had seen Daisy undergo this wanted to do something nice for her.
The nurse at Children’s Health in Houston, Texas nominated Daisy for Make-A-Wish who were the organized the incredible trip for Daisy to the fabulous Disney World. Daisy who is seven years old eagerly welcomed the opportunity to travel. Of all the princesses, her absolute favorite was Belle, from beauty and the beast.
Some might say she kind of looks like Belle. One just has to take in her gorgeous skin and dark hair to see the resemblance. They are definitely look-alikes.
The little girl also wanted to meet Louis Tomlinson for the One Direction boy band. She loved their music and could not wait to meet him. She also planned to share something with her brother and sister. But she would have Louis all to herself. Daisy could just picture it.
She was so excited and they couldn’t have moved fast enough. Her family was so glad for her that such an opportunity had come to her. They were so happy to see their little cutie so excited. It made such a difference to the day to day hospital activities that they had gotten used to.

Daisy chose to go in a yellow dress just like the one her favorite princess wears. She had a tiara to complete her outfit. She made quite a cute little princess. She was ready to tackle the magic kingdom.
She was so overwhelmed to meet the ‘real’ Belle in person. It was a moment young Daisy had only been dreaming of. Her dream came true that day. She was a bundle of emotions as this photo shows.
As little Daisy’s family were gearing up to take on the rest of Disney world they disclosed to Belle the true reason that she was in Disney world that day.point 128 | They explained how it was all planned by a foundation.point 173 | Without the help of a kind nurse back at the Children’s hospital, Daisy might have never had the chance to come there.point 272 |
As Belle listened to the moving story, a fantastic idea came to her mind.point 60 | She wanted to do something even more special for Daisy and become part of the young girl’s journey.point 144 | So she turned to Daisy and asked her a question the young girl could never have expected.point 217 | 1
Daisy’s aunt Patricia explains that unforgettable moment. She said Belle asked the family if they had any plans after their Disney World trip. When they answered in the negative, the Disney world princess had turned to her new little friend and asked the bombshell question: she asked if she could take her on a tour of France.

Daisy just couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that her favorite fairy tale character wanted to spend more time with her. Belle wanted to give her family a personalized tour. It was beyond anything Daisy or her family could have dreamed of. It was just a day before that they had thought to come to Disney was so awesome and now something unbelievable had happened.

Although Disney Princesses are not to break character, the lady who played Belle could not help herself. She let her real self-show through which was against the rules and against her training to always stay in character. Beautiful little Daisy had touched her heart so. It was evident as Belle started to cry when she bid Daisy goodbye at the end of that tour.
As for Daisy, it was more than all her dreams combined. A little girl who had endured so much pain was now preparing to embark on an international journey to France with her favorite ‘princess’.
It was yet more evidence of the power of the magical kingdom. Something truly magical had happened that day.
It is such a tremendous story that doesn’t fail to touch my heart every time I read it. What an incredible experience. Little Daisy got to spend a day as a carefree child, away from hospital visits and doctor’s appointments. She got to be a princess for a day and she met her favorite princess.
